Introduction

The French higher education system is very competent and covers all aspects of knowledge. Each year, France devotes more than a 20% of its national budget to education. In France, students may find:

• Courses and pedagogies adapted to every personal and professional objective

The French higher education system includes four types of training:

• University education
  
• Preparatory classes to higher education institutions
• Specialized schools
• Sections for the training of technical experts.

You have to hold a baccalaureate, or an equivalent diploma, to follow higher studies in France.

Registration and useful information

If you are going to study in France within the framework of an exchange program or an academic convention, you will have to contact the French university for practical details.
